From http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01618a.htm:
"Thus the science of apologetics easily falls into three great divisions:
- First, the study of religion in general and the grounds of theistic belief;
- second, the study of revealed religion and the grounds of Christian belief;
- third, the study of the true Church of Christ and the grounds of Catholic belief."
The last point is interesting, in that almost everyone believes they are the "true Church". I belong to the Indian Orthodox church, and there is a passage during the service that claims that our church is not only "true", but also "uncorrupt" as well as unchanged.
I struggle with this, as all these churches really are teaching exclusion whereas Jesus taught inclusion ... what are we really teaching our children?
