First Focus Meeting ...
Today was a good day. Dropped my son off at Orthodox Vacation Bible School at St Gregorios Church in Bellwood ... let's just say he was not looking forward to this at all, as he's very shy. However, after registratin he saw one of his classmates, which immediately put him at ease. And, much to my relief, when I went to pick him up he was there with a huge smile and asking if he can come back tomorrow and next week! The kids at the church mixed prayer, worship and fun ... my son said they went for prayer 6 times, but there were no groans or complaints. And, he was talking about Malayalam and "Malankara", which was something neither of us parents had taught him.
In the evening, we attended FOCUS, which is a prayer group for older kids and married couples. Dinner and prayer was at the house of a wonderful couple who actually attend the church we go to (but we never really spoke). I was a bit nervous on how the kids and wife would be, but it was a bunch of "mallus' having fun, and was great. Prayer and Bible study was OK ... but, 2 songs were sung which were amazing. And, met 3 of the Seminarians (2 deacons, and 1 who's 2nd year). Also spent more time talking to Diju as well ...
