What a weekend!
This weekend was a busy one with Church activities ... there was an all day seminar arranged with the title of "The Role of Church in the Re-vitalization of Local Church". I have to admit that I was planning to skip, but had picked up Mr. Tenny Thomas from the airport and dropped at Church .. and so happy I had stayed.
Tenny's speech was inspiring .. comparing the role of the Church as a family, where we are all members of the family. He used the example of a child going wayward, and whether a father would ignore the child or try and help.
Discussion was very enlightening, although most likely no action would come from the dialogue .. however, the feedback and thoughts will be valuable as we launch FOCUS.
In the evening we had our FOCUS Town Hall Meeting. The turnout was disappointedly small .. however, the discussion was very productive and Dn Mat Alexander graciously attended from St Louis. Discussions afterwards and later with Dn Mat Alexander was also very thought provoking. Will capture more in subsequent posts.
