Harvest Bible Chapel

A growing number of younger Malayalee couples (especially with children) are attending Harvest Bible Chapel in the Chicago-area, and would not be surprised if trend is also seen in other cities. The feedback I get is always the same i.e., going to service is meaningful and rewarding, the focus of the church is the Bible, etc.

The struggle again is that there is nothing "un-Orthodox" in any of this feedback :(

I went to Harvest website, and this is their governance:

Some thought-provoking :

"The Bible's teaching on the subject of two church offices is found in 1 Timothy 3:1-16 and Titus 1:5-9."

"The Scriptures teach that a plurality of elders governed individual New Testament churches—Acts 14:23; Acts 20:28; Titus 1:5; Philippians 1:1. The Scripture does not mention any congregations featuring a stand-alone pastor and leader."

Would love to sit down and talk to one of the Harvest leaders on what is important and their views on what it means to be an Orthodox Christian. Learned today that the pastor at the Niles church is Malayalee (Mohan?) ... need to find a way to meet him :)
