First Qurbana in Chicago

The first Qurbana in Chicago happened sometime in the early '70s at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. The Liturgy was led by Fr. Dr. Kurian Thottupuram (now Very Rev. Chor-Episcopos Dr. Kuriakos Thottupuram), with about 10 families.

My dad shared that the group originally thought this was the first Qurbana in America, but later found that the first Qurbana was in New York (I believe by the late Very Rev. Thomas P. Mundukuzhy Cor-Episcopos at Lampman Chapel?)

What's sad is there is very little readily available information - photos, articles, etc. Perhaps a goal we can set as we revamp the website of the American Diocese.

Christos Anesti! Wait what day is it today? I know Jews are done celebrating Passover. But I wonder what's on April 27, 2008? Oh whatever it is, just not important enough for Keralites to stop their rice patty harvesting or Taxi fares.
