Science and Religion

Christ has Risen!

And yet, some of my agnostic/atheist friends scoff at this idea, and at times even laugh at the more fundamental doctrine that there exists a Supreme God. In my younger days, I would taken the time to debate ... but, nowadays we just agree to disagree.

But, will never be able to suppress the exasperation with these same people who on one hand reject Christian belief outright, but on the other accept without hesitation some of the wacky thoughts in the name of Science.

For example, a quote from the following article on the formation of Venus:
The probability that two protoplanets collided to form Venus is not at all implausible


So, if probability that something not implausible is sufficient for some to accept as scientific explanation, why do many of the same people turn around and completely reject any probability that Christian doctrine could be true?
