From what I understand, our Church rejected the 4th Ecumenical Council because of the Chalcedonian belief that the divine and human relate in the person of Jesus is that the two natures (divine and human) are united in one person (Christ).
I spoke to some of the Seminarians, and to be honest I still dont understand completely other than our Church position is that there are not two seperate natures, but that Christ is both Divine and Human.
This is actually part of the opening Hymn of our Qurbana (although the horrible English glosses over this part) - "Man becoming - nor with Change
